Robert “Bob” Feauto was born in November of 1962.  He was raised on a farm south of Alcester, SD.  There his family operated a small traditional farm of crops, hogs, feeder cattle, chickens, and a small herd of dairy cattle.  His father was also a custom baler so there were many hours spent on the hay rack.  Being so close to the border of IA he and his three older brothers attended school in Akron, IA.  Bob is thankful he was able to spend his formative years on the farm.  He holds great value of hard work and God’s creation.  When he was a teenager, his father sold the farm and the family moved to Emmetsburg, IA where he graduated from high school.  During his high school years, Bob met his wife to-be, Tami Nevenhoven.  In 1984 following Tami’s graduation from college as a Registered Nurse, the high school sweethearts were married.  They are blessed with four children – Rachel, Mark, Gabriel, and Grace.  With great pride and joy Bob and Tami are now watching their circle of family expand.  Two of their four children are married with their own families and the clan just welcomed a seventh grandchild.  Little Norah.  She is the first girl in this number and will undoubtedly be a bit spoiled and well protected with all those older boys.  Bob and Tami feel a house full of kids and grandkids is truly one of God’s greatest blessings and times to be cherished.  Grace, 17, is the last in the nest but Bob and Tami look forward to a few more years with her as she will attend college in Sioux Falls.

Bob holds a degree in Health Care Administration from Iowa Lakes Community College as well as management studies at Buena Vista University.  Prior to attending mortuary school Bob worked as a Nursing Home Administrator in Emmetsburg, IA.  In 2005 Bob answered a calling and satisfied a long-held desire to become a funeral director.  He enrolled in the Mortuary Science program of Des Moines Area Community College.  Graduating in 2006, he accepted a position with Jurrens Funeral Homes in NW IA.  Jurrens operates funeral homes in eight communities in three NW IA counties and Hills, MN.  He is licensed in IA, SD, and MN.  Bob has spent the last 15 years serving the families of these communities with great respect and compassion.  He looks forward to extending the same level of professionalism and care to the families served by Minnehaha Funeral Homes and getting to know and help the people of the area as they walk through a difficult time in their family’s history.

Bob has many interests and hobbies, which include camping, motorcycles, and airplanes along with maximizing time spent with family and friends, He and Tami are long time members of Living Word Outreach Ministries in Spencer, IA where their eldest son is associate pastor. Bob and Tami live in Garretson.
