Wayne Glen Danielson, 63, of Dell Rapids passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Dells Area Hospital.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Reformed Church in Dell Rapids.  Visitation will be from 2-4:00 PM Sunday with a Prayer Service at 4:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids.

Wayne Glen Danielson was born January 28, 1955 at Hudson, South Dakota to parents Glen and Dorothy (Pansegrau) Danielson.  He lived with his family on a farm near Centerville until the age of six, after which they moved to Sioux Falls.  He attended St. Joseph School and Washington High School.

Wayne married Karen Bingner on April 24, 1974 in Sioux Falls.  They moved to Baltic in 1976 and then to Dell Rapids in 1999.  Wayne worked for Gage Brothers, the City of Sioux Falls and spent the last 24 years working at Soukup Construction.

Wayne made many friends buying and selling guns and fixing up cars over the years.  But his true love was spending time with family.  Wayne was a very giving person and was caring to all the lives he touched.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Karen, Dell Rapids; sons, Wayne Danielson Jr., Fargo, ND; Rick (Angela) Danielson, Valley Springs; Jonathon (Ashlee) Danielson, Sioux Falls; daughter, Glenda Danielson and his future son-in-law Shayne Cheek, Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, James, Matthew & Luke Danielson, Valley Springs; Jasmine, Dade & Lydia Danielson, Sioux Falls; sisters, Marie Heimdal, Canton; Nancy (Patrick) Shannon, Sioux Falls; mother-in-law, Marian Bingner, Lennox; sisters-in-law, Cathy (DeWane) Stoddard, Big Stone City; and Nancy (Gary) Dickson, Dakota Dunes; uncle, Gus (Bonnie) Pansegrau and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Dorothy; father-in-law, Arthur Bingner and brother-in-law Richard Heimdal.
