Sharon Kay Vorce

Sharon K. Vorce, of Worthing, SD, passed away December 13, 2023, at age 75 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Services will be held at a later date.

Sharon was born April 8, 1948, to parents Ward E. White and Phyllis J. (Holm) White in Worthington, Minnesota. She grew up in Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School.

After high school graduation she attended school in Nevada, Iowa where she became an LPN. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa. She met Paul Vorce in Mason City, Iowa; and they were married on May 26, 1973, in Mason City, Iowa.

They later moved to Sioux Falls and then to Worthing, SD. Sharon worked for many years at K-Mart on Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls until her retirement. She enjoyed helping people. She loved all her dogs. The last dog who kept her so much company was Bailey. Sharon loved reading and shopping and eating out with friends. Anyone who knew Sharon knew her fondness for everything purple.

Sharon passed away at Lyon Specialty Care in Rock Rapids, Iowa while receiving care for various medical issues.

She is survived by her brother, Gary White, of Waverly, Kansas and her brother Randy (Eunice) White of Crooks, SD. She is also survived by 4 nieces Kari Mesik, Ottawa, Kansas, Beth (Eric) Carlson of Crooks, SD, Heide (Matt) Gedney of Sioux Falls SD, Laura White of Crooks, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ward and Phyllis White and her husband Paul Vorce.
