Ronald Pete Harms, age 78, of Sioux Falls, died on Monday, February 15, 2021, at his home in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Friday, February 19, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Masks are required at the church. Funeral will be live streamed at the First Lutheran Church YouTube Channel.
Ron was born on July 22, 1942 to Elmer and Stella (Anderson) Harms. He grew up on the farm near Montrose and attended Hope School for the Handicapped. In 1985 he moved to Sioux Falls. He started with Sioux Vocational which later changed to Achieve. He enjoyed working at Achieve, shopping, and taking vacations to places including the Black Hills and Disney World in Florida. He was very religious and was a member at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls where he attended services every Sunday. He also loved collecting pictures.
He is survived by his brother, Richard (Ruth) Harms, Chester; nephews: Tim Harms, Todd Harms, and Terry (Susan) Harms; niece, Tamra (Mark) Brodahl; great nieces and nephews: Skyler Harms, Alex Harms, Luke Brodahl, Sam Brodahl, Kyleen Harms, and Kristina Harms. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Stella Harms; and three brothers, Elmer, Charles, and Frank.
