Pearl M. Miller
December 25, 1927 — October 28, 2019
Pearl Marie Miller, 91, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Colton passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at United Methodist Church in Colton. Burial will be in Colton Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Pearl was born December 25, 1927 to parents Kenneth and M. Julia (Nussbaum) Voelker in Valley Springs, SD. She attended country schools and graduated from Lyons High School in 1945. She taught for 2 years in country schools near Crooks and Hartford.
Pearl married Burdette Miller on June 4, 1947 in Sioux Falls. The couple farmed near Colton for 47 years before retiring in Sioux Falls.
Pearl worked in the bakery at Cracked Pot for 13 years then worked at Dow Rummel. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Colton and American Legion Auxiliary #206.
Grateful for having shared her life are two sisters, Louise Webb, Mapleton, MN and Bonnie (Doug) Nelson, Piedmont, SD; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends including Marc Toft. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burdette and brother, Marvin.
In lieu of flowers, Pearl requested memorials be directed to United Methodist Church in Colton.
