Paul M. Hoven, 67, of Colton passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls.
Memorial services will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, March 22, 2019 at First Lutheran Church, Colton. Memorial visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Thursday at the Minnehaha Funeral Chapel, Colton. Burial will be at a later date.
Paul Michael Hoven was born September 2, 1951 in Sioux Falls to parents Howard and Dian (Oberg) Hoven. He graduated from Tech High School in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He worked construction most of his career, traveling throughout the United States. In 2013 he moved to Colton and retired.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his sons, Jacob, Sheldon, Iowa; Aaron (Brandi), Stanchfield, Minnesota; Cole (Rachel), San Francisco, California; three grandchildren, Kaden, Katrin and Kollin; a stepdaughter, April Rowedder, St. Ansgar, Iowa; his mother, Dian Hoven, Colton; siblings, Susan (Alan) Knops, Sarasota, Florida; Pam (Ron Colling) Manning, Iowa; Mike (Madelynn) Matlock, Iowa; Joy (Rich) Letner, Sheldon, Iowa and Kim (Pat) Udermann, Foley, Minnesota and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard and grandparents, Floyd and Georgina Oberg and Elmer and Hilda Hoven.
