Nicoli Wrage

Nicoli Wrage, age 59, of Marion, SD, died Saturday, March 19 ^th , from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Lennox, SD.

A celebration of life will take place at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Colton, SD Friday, March 25, 2022, at 3:00 PM.  Family will be receiving friends from 1:00 to time of service at 3:00.

Nicoli Louise Siert Wrage or "Nicky" as she was lovingly known by, was born June 16, 1962 to Harold and Mathilda (Starr) Siert in Madison, SD. As a child, she attended Tekawitha Indian School in Sisseton, SD until she was 8 years old when the family moved to Canova, SD. She resided in several communities throughout her life but spent most of her early life growing up years in Canova.

Anyone who knew her, knew she had a great love for her family and close friends, & maintained several lifelong friendships.

She saw the value in her family & spending time with loved ones, whether on the phone or a road trip, she enjoyed that time and especially with her sister, Michelle, taking road trips together a couple times/year. Her contagious laughter was distinct, and you never questioned whether it was her in the room if she was laughing.

Collecting rocks, books, turtles, and a love for rock and roll music, especially “Queen”, and “The Cars” are just some of the highlights of her personality.

Her love for cats and turtles was authentic, collecting turtle figurines, stuffed animals & about anything to do with turtles. Scattered throughout her home & even her cars, you'd find some sort of reminder of her love for her turtles.

Nicky married the love of her life, John Wrage on August 1, 2005 in Turner county, SD where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mathilda; Sisters, Ingrid Mellegard, Sharon Strang, Kateri Siert; and brother, Derek Siert.

Those grateful for having shared her life are her husband, John Wrage of Marion, SD; daughters: Stasha Woldt of Marion, SD, Carmen Mills of St. Cloud, MN, and Julie (Jay) Mendel of Harrisburg, SD; siblings, Michelle Siert of Sioux Falls, SD and a brother, Eric Siert of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Logan, Anthony, Cassidy and Raelynn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends and relatives who will all miss her greatly.
