Louis "LeRoy" Gednalske

Louis "LeRoy" Gednalske of Dell Rapids, SD, was called home on October 16, 2024. He was born on October 18, 1930, in Dell Rapids, SD. A burial service will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Trent Cemetery, Trent, SD. LeRoy was preceded in death by his beloved life partner Lavina Hunt, his parents, Viola and Louis Gednalske, and his siblings: Jim (Janice), Dick (Jackie), Bob (Betty), and Diana, and nephew, Otey ("Butch") Rogers. He is survived by his brother, Ron (Jeanne), and many nieces and nephews, with special recognition of Tammy Wendell and Lisa Nielsen, who were like daughters. They helped care for him in his last few years as he had helped care for them as youngsters. 

LeRoy retired from the Air Force after twenty-plus years of service. He was also part of the naval reserve and civil service at Offutt AFB after retirement. He worked with the ROTC and retired after seventeen years. LeRoy loved his casino video poker and was an avid fisherman and hunter. LeRoy also enjoyed watching his Twins, Vikings, and Huskers play. LeRoy truly loved helping and spending time with his family and he'll be forever missed.
