Jeannette Schlichting, age 75, formerly of Colton, SD, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Center in Canton, SD.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Jeannette Schlichting was born April 22, 1947, in Sioux Falls, SD to Lloyd and Marie (Nelson) Egan. Jeannette grew up in Colton and graduated from Colton High School. She then married and moved to Denver, CO, where she obtained a cosmetology license.
Traveling was Jeannette’s passion. She lived in many different states, including South Dakota, Colorado, Mississippi, Florida, and Arizona. She also enjoyed reading, swimming, hiking and the sun. She was an avid sports fan and emphatically enjoyed cheering for the Golden State Warriors.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Doug Burgers, Tampa, FL, Tracy (Terry) Plecity, Colman, SD, and Kelley (Tim) Griffith, Vernon Hills, IL; 6 grandchildren, Nolan, Alex, Kara, Shelby, Jessica, Brenden; brother, Syl Egan, Coto de Caza, CA; and twin sister, Jeanne Egan, Sioux Falls, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, David Egan and Mick Egan.
