David "Skip" Michael Dwelle

David "Skip" Michael Dwelle, age 63, of Flandreau, SD passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

David was born June 19, 1958 in Newport Beach, CA to his parents Roger and Judy (Fishback) Dwelle.  The family moved to Renner in 1962 where David grew up and attended school.  He was a 1976 graduate of Washington High.  The family then moved to Dell Rapids, SD in 1977.  David worked for his father at Dwelle Electric for 22 years.  David worked for many different contractors, with Dells Electric being his last place of employment.

He was active in OOPS Theatre.  His great passion was in music.  He ran lights and sound for several bands including Judd Hoos, Wakefield, The Source, and Tom Foolery.  He also served several positions at Washington Pavillion.  David really enjoyed anytime spent at his farm acreage by Dell Rapids, SD.  This is a place in which many friends spent time also.  It was his grateful wishes that he could build a house and live there permanently.  David lived a very busy and active life.  Every year on Labor Day weekend, the Annual Hog Roast is held on his farm.  There is a horseshoe tournament and lots of great food.

Grateful for sharing his life was his special friend, Shawne Rislov.  He also has one brother, Tim (Texas).  David had many, many friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, as well as many friends.
