Bruce Fowlds

Bruce Fowlds, 70, of Crooks died Tuesday, November 10, 2020 due injuries from an automobile accident in Sioux Falls.

Private family funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Crooks, SD.  Service will be livestreamed beginning at 9:55 AM on the Minnehaha Funeral Home & Cremation Services Facebook Page .  Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery, rural Baltic, SD.  Public visitation will be held Monday November 16, 2020 from 3-7:00 PM in the Family Life Center at West Nidaros Lutheran Church. Masks are required at the visitation.

In lieu of flowers we would like donations sent to the El Riad Shrine &/or Humane Society.

Bruce was born July 15, 1950 in Hendricks, Minnesota to parents Donald and Esther Fowlds.  As a young child he moved with his family to Sioux Falls and he graduated from Lincoln High School.

Bruce married Paula Peterson August 13, 1982 in Sioux Falls.

Bruce was a truck driver for Gage Brothers, Morrells and started Dakotaland Transportation with his brother, Jerry.

Bruce enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, western movies, going fishing and snowmobiling.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Paula, Crooks; son, Jason (Amanda) Fowlds, Crooks; stepsons, Troy Peterson, Crooks, and Trev (Jess) Peterson, Sioux Falls; a brother, Dennis (Kathy) Fowlds, Tea; brothers in law,  Willie (Lois), Bernie (Linda); sisters-in-law, Shari Fowlds, Brigette Fowlds, Linda (Dwight), Marlene (Ron) and Sharon  (Harvey) and many other relatives and friends.

He died alongside his brother, Jerry and was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James.
