Arlo Richard Meyer, of Humboldt, SD, was born in Elmore, MN on January 15, 1938. He passed away at Ava's House Sioux Falls, SD Thursday, January 4th at 10pm.
Son of Cora Maxx and August Meyer. He is survived by his two brothers Lile Meyer, Donny Kramer, two sisters Carol Webber and Elna Gillespie. Two loving children, son Richard Meyer, and daughter Tammy Curry. Grandchildren Bradley Greenstreet, Jordan Lenczewski, Colt, Caitlin, & Caleb Curry, Alyssa and Anika Meyer. Great grandchildren, Lydia, Emma Jean, and Gideon Curry. And many friends.
Employed as an Engineer at Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for 19 1/2 years. He served his country by joining the Army at age 19, on August 14th, 1961. After serving in the Korean War, he was honorably discharged July 1963. He loved collecting clocks, inventing things, and tinkering. Always willing to help, he would go out of his way for others, he inspired many, and encouraged everyone to treat each other better.
