Ardean Hanson

Ardean Hanson, 74, of Crooks, SD, passed away on January 21st, 2022, at Franklin Restorative Care Center for Nursing and Memory Care in Franklin, MN.
He was born on January 10th, 1948, to parents Adolph and Aslaug “Dolly” (Moen) Hanson in Dell Rapids, SD.
Ardean grew up as the youngest of three boys and attended Lyons High School. Ardean worked in the construction industry running heavy equipment until retirement. After retirement, he helped his nephew on the farm.
He married Kay Aspaas and was married for six years, and they had one child. Years after their divorce, Ardean married Linda Montgomery and was married for 18 years.
He was an avid collector of model farm tractors and heavy equipment models. Ardean was also a friend of Bill W for over 35 years.
Ardean is survived by daughter, Stacy Hanson, Tracy, MN; grandchildren, Taylor, Grace, Jordyn, and Brittani Hanson, Tracy, MN; nieces and nephews, James (Carrie) Hanson, Missouri; Julie (Keith Bergh) Haagenson, Sioux Falls; LaDonn (Craig Krogstad) Powell, Renner; Vonda (John) Barnes, Sioux Falls; Mike (Becky) Hanson, Baltic; and Todd Hanson, Baltic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Dolly Hanson; siblings, Adrian Hanson and Jerry Hanson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Renner, SD on Saturday, January 29 th at 1 pm. A burial of the ashes will be held at a later date.
