Anita L. Hamilton, 54 of Hartford died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018 at First Lutheran Church, Colton. Visitation will be from 2-4:00 PM Sunday at the Minnehaha Funeral Chapel, Colton.
Anita was born February 24, 1964 at Sturgis, South Dakota to parents Charles and Betty (Anderson) Sinkey. As a small child she moved with her family to Midland, South Dakota. She attended school there and graduated from Midland High School in 1982. After graduation she moved to Pierre and worked for the Department of Education.
She married Curt Hansen in 1984 in Pierre. She moved to the Sioux Falls area in 1990. She married Robert Hamilton July 2, 2011 in Sioux Falls. They have lived in Hartford for the past three years. She was employed by Sunshine Foods in Hartford.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Robert, Hartford; children, Heather (Trevor) Bunde, Colton, Heidi (Travis) Ellison, Crooks, Cole Hansen, Brandon; eight grandchildren, Logan, Peyton, Sutton, Kobe, Brooklyn, Lincoln, Quinn, and Maverick; her mother, Betty Sinkey, Midland; siblings, Duwayne Sinkey, Midland, Russell Sinkey, Midland, Eileen Aberle, Sioux Falls, Pamela Sinkey, Fort Pierre, Dennis Sinkey, Midland and Sherri Becker, Faribault, MN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles.
