Sharyln Sue Heikes

Sharlyn Sue Heikes, 55, of Brandon, SD. passed away quietly in her sleep Friday, June 27, 2008 at Palisades Manor in Garretson.

Sharlyn was born July 19, 1952, the first child of Glenn and Alice (Geerdes) Heikes in Sibley, IA. She was diagnosed with severe mental retardation when she was two and has been in the care of her mother ever since.

Grateful and blessed to have shared her special life journey are her mother, Alice Heikes, Brandon; brothers, Mahlon, Greeley, CO.; Darwin (Caryla), Sioux Falls; sisters, Lori (Mike) Tolzin, Brandon; Kris (Brad) Hicks, Sioux Falls; along with several nieces and nephews; three special great-nieces; and a great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn; sister, Lyn; and brother, Kevin.

Private family services are being held.
