Helen Louise Esser

Helen Louise (Farley) Esser, passed away on March 23, 2007 in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Memorial services will begin at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Baltic. Interment will be held in the East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, rural Baltic.
Helen was born on January 6, 1922 on the family homestead in rural Minnehaha County. After her father’s death in 1929, the family moved to Baltic, South Dakota where she attended public school and graduated in 1940.
Helen worked for NW Bell Telephone Company for over 25 years, and retired in 1984. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, reading and attending South Dakota Symphony and Community Playhouse productions. She was long time member of First Lutheran Church and the Telephone Company Pioneers.
She was a loving mother and mentor to three children who survive her: Dennis (Jane) Esser, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Donna (Mike) Anderson, Bella Vista, Arkansas and Carol White, Hoolulu, Hawaii. She is also survived by four grandchildren, David, Andrea, Giselle and Fran.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen and Lester Farley; and former husband, Howard Esser.
