Bradley Wayne Wallen, 24, of Dell Rapids died unexpectedly Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Hammer, South Dakota.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids. Burial will be in the Stordahl Cemetery, rural Dell Rapids.
Visitation with the family present will begin at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids.
Bradley was born June 27, 1984 in Bellflower, California to parents Kenneth and Suzann (Thayer) Wallen. He grew up in California where he received his education. He moved to Dell Rapids and lived with the James and Kaaren Randal family. He worked with Wayne Coffaa in the construction business.
Bradley enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, camping, football, and was a avid NASCAR fan. He was also active in the Dell Rapids Sportsman’s Club.
Grateful for having shared his life are his fiancée, Rebecca Coffaa, Dell Rapids; his parents, Kenneth and Suzann Wallen, Yucca Valley, California; James and Kaaren Randel, Dell Rapids; his grandfather, Hubert Edmond Wallen, Yucca Valley, CA; Rebecca’s parents, Wayne and Ruth Coffaa, Dell Rapids; his brothers, Kenneth Wallen, California; Jon and Amanda Schwarz, Sioux City, IA; Andrew Schwarz, Trey Randel and Lealand Randel, all of Dell Rapids; his sisters, Christina Schwarz, Moorhead, Minnesota; Michelle Miller, Dell Rapids; 14 aunts and uncles, Joyce Tucker, Robbie Tucker, Wayne Wallen, Suzan Wallen, Brad Wallen, Merna Wallen, Harry Williams, Melody Williams, Colette Willey, Robert Willey, Sr., Plez Wallen, Terry Thayer, Mary Thayer, and Bernie Wallen; 16 cousins, Shannon Christian, Robert Wiley, Jr., Richard Fairclough, Lisa Willey, Jennifer Fairclough, Joshua Fairclough, Jeremey Willey, Rachell Wallen, Christa Wallen, Wayne Wallen, Christina Tucker, Amy Tucker, Dorothy Wight, Darrel Corey, Stacy Corey, and Lisa Wallen; other relatives Amy and Dan Ahlers and their son, Jackson, Dell Rapids.
Bradley was preceded in death by his grandmothers and a grandfather.
