Robinette "Bobbie" Johnson

Robinette “Bobbie” Johnson, 81, of Sioux Falls died Tuesday at Dougherty Hospice.
Memorial services for “Bobbie” Johnson will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church near Crooks. Burial will precede the service at West Nidaros Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic.

Bobbie was born September 20, 1927 in Dell Rapids to Robert and Julia (Sonen) Thompson. She married Lloyd Johnson in 1949 and the couple farmed in the Crooks area. Bobbie also worked at Pizza Inn from its inception in 1967 and later in the 1990s she worked at Sam’s Club in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed travel, reading and her many friends.

Grateful for sharing her life are her husband of 59 years, Lloyd Johnson, Sioux Falls; her daughters, Julie (Darwin) Dirks, Le Mars, Iowa and Jan Johnson, Portland, Oregon; her brother, Doug Thompson, Fortuna, California; her sister, Bev Gerardi, Windsor, Connecticut; her brothers-in-law, Gene (Doris) Johnson, Woodbury, Minnesota and Wally (Doris) Johnson, Sioux Falls, and many dear friends and extended family, including Van (Sue) Brust, Staunton, Virginia who she raised as a son.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frances Thompson and a baby daughter.
