Teddy Ann Tupper

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church, Garretson. Burial will be in the Summit Hill Cemetery, rural Garretson. Visitation with the family present will be Tuesday from 5-7:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson.

Teddy Ann was the last baby born March 28, 1950 at the Garretson Hospital to parents Theodore “Ted” and Esther (Harnack) Fresvik. She grew up in Garretson and graduated from Garretson High School in 1968. She then attended Sioux Valley School of Nursing and received her RN degree. She moved to Glendale, California and worked as an RN in Long Beach, California. She returned to South Dakota and worked on a mobile Breast Detection Unit until working at Palisade Manor in Garretson for 21 years, some of which as the Director of Nursing.

On June 16, 1995 she married Robert “Bob” Tupper at Zion Lutheran Church in Garretson. After her marriage she worked at Citibank in the Student Loan Department until the time of her death.


Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Robert “Bob” Renner; a sister, Judy (Jeffrey) Evenson, Garretson; step children, Bob (Danell) Tupper and their children, Danica and Dayne, Hurley; Becki Andrea and her children, Machelle, Dominick, and Jackson, Junius; step brothers, LeRoy (Marlys) Jones, Rock Rapids, IA; Larry (Cathy) Jones, Shelton, WA; Keith (Teri) Jones, Brandon; a niece, Amy Lee, Garretson; nephew Joseph (Tresse) Evenson, Sioux Falls; great nieces, Korissa and Kaitlyn Evenson, and a great nephew, Breydon Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Esther, her step father, Gordon, two step brothers, Claude and Rodney.
