Lillian Marie Schoeberl

Lillian M. Schoeberl, 73, of Sioux Falls, formerly of the Chester area died Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Dougherty House Hospice.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the family present from 6-8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Montrose.

Lillian was born July 4, 1935 to parents John and Gertrude (Knutson) Larsen in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of ten she moved with her family to the Seattle, Washington area. She married Michael Schoeberl March 19, 1954 in Seattle, Washington. After their marriage they moved to a farm near Montrose where they farmed. Michael died December 24, 1982. In the fall of 1983 Lillian moved to Sioux Falls. She operated the New Beginnings Introductions, and the Pines Park Trailer Court.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Michelle (Terry) Goodale, Chester; Joe (DeAnn) Schoeberl, Chester; Dan Schoeberl, Sioux Falls; Nick (Lorene) Schoeberl, Dell Rapids; Charles Schoeberl, Sioux Falls; Richard (AJ) Schoeberl, Chester; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Larsen, Camano Island, WA; Gary Larsen, Mt. Vernon, WA; two sisters, Ann Boyle, Troy, MT; Jeanie Taylor, Marysville, WA; and many other relatives and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Teri Lynn; a great grandson, Wyatt; and 2 brothers, Al and John.
