Ruth Wold
July 1, 1919 — August 22, 2009
Ruth Wold, 90, of Dell Rapids died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Orchard Hills in Dell Rapids.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at East Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Baltic. Burial will be in the East Nidaros Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8:00 PM Monday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids.
Ruth was born July 1, 1919 on a farm southwest of Dell Rapids to parents Ludvig and Anna (Skulburstad) Moen. She attended country School near Dell Rapids.
Ruth married Gustav I. Wold October 8, 1942 in Dell Rapids. After their marriage they farmed east of Baltic until retiring into Dell Rapids in 1971.
After moving to Dell Rapids, she was a seamstress for many people and did house cleaning for George and Lois Schwebach and Pete and Marie Schwebach for many years. Gust died December 31, 2001. Ruth was a long time member of East Nidaros Lutheran Church.
Ruth is survived by six nephews, Adrian and Ardean Hanson, Harold, Larry, Ronald and Irvin Skatvold and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Glenn Felix and Oscar Moen; two sisters, Lillian Skatvold and Dollie Hanson and a nephew, Jerry Hanson.
