Clinton Fueston
May 25, 1949 — July 24, 2009
Clinton Fueston, age 60, of rural Garretson, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 24, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at East Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Baltic. Visitation with the family present will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic.
Clinton Raymond Fueston was born on May 25, 1949, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Frank and Bernice (Boyles) Fueston. Clinton grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 1967. Following high school, Clint was called to active duty for the Army for three years. He served his country during the Vietnam War.
Clinton was united in marriage to Diane Pohlman at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lakefield, Minnesota on August 22, 1970. He was baptized and confirmed on June 18, 1978. During his life he was a truck driver and worked many years for Burns Moving & Storage. Clint enjoyed working with horses and maintaining his acreage that he lived on for the past 22 years with his wife and brother, Don. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his three precious grandchildren. Clinton was a member of East Nidaros Lutheran Church, where he served as a Deacon for the past two years.
Grateful for having shared his life, love and memories are his wife, Diane of Garretson, South Dakota; two daughters, Kindell and her husband, Thad Pierce and their two children, Taylor and Samantha of Worland, Wyoming and Kelli and her husband, Evan Nyhof and their son, Hayden of Brandon, South Dakota; four brothers, Donald Fueston of Garretson, Roger Fueston and his wife, Judy of Omaha, Nebraska, Jerry Fueston and his wife, Toni of Paris, Texas and Ardie Fueston and his wife, Candy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
In addition to his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Newton and a brother, Richard Fueston.
Clinton was a wonderful, loving, devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend to all who knew him. We will miss him dearly and greatly.
