William Harvey Wagner

February 2, 1949 — March 10, 2007

William Harvey “Bill” Wagner of Baltic, South Dakota formerly of Lincoln, NE and Clinton, Oklahoma.
Memorial services will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Crooks. Family will be present one hour before the service at the church. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska. Casual dress requested.

William Harvey Wagner was born February 2, 1949 in Lincoln, Nebraska to parents Harvey George and Agnes Ann (Duchek) Wagner. He grew up in Dorchester, Nebraska where he graduated from high school. Bill married Judy Baade February 19, 1967 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Seward, Nebraska. They lived in Seward and Lincoln before moving to Clinton, Oklahoma in 1984. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1997 and to the Baltic area in 1999. He was presently working for Sara Lee in Sioux Falls.


While living in Lincoln and Clinton he was on the church council and taught Sunday School in the ELCA.


He enjoyed spending time with his family, coaching Pee Wee football; watching his children and grandchildren’s football and softball games and especially fishing with Tony, B.J. and Scot. He also enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Indianapolis Colts.


Bill died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the age of 58.


Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Judy, Baltic; sons, Anthony Paul (Tabitha) Wagner, Tecumseh, NE; Benjamin Jon Wagner, Oklahoma; a daughter, Honey Lynn (Scot) Welch, Owasso, OK; grandchildren, Ashlee Ann, Brandon William, and a soon to be born grandchild; his mother, Agnes Ann Wagner, Crete, NE ; his mother in law, Fern Baade, Lincoln, NE; his brothers and sisters in law; Ed & Jan Baade, Lincoln, NE; Jim & Alice Baade Bloomington, IL; Sheri & Carl Cheek, Auburn, WA; Fred Baade, Andale, KS; his many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Hope Ann and his father, Harvey.
