Fern Lavonne Davis

Fern L. Davis, 86, of Brandon passed away December 1, 2007 at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Minnehaha Funeral Home Chapel in Dell Rapids. Burial will be in Bethania Lutheran Cemetery, rural Trent. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Fern LaVonne was born May 5, 1921 at Egan, South Dakota to parents Conrad and Inga (Olson) Anderson, where she was raised and received her education. She then moved to Pipestone and later to Sioux Falls. Fern married Derryl Davis May 11, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple resided in Tustin, California for a few years before returning to Sioux Falls.

Fern was a sales representative and territory manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for 20 years. She especially liked working for the Glass House Steak House in Island, Minnesota for many years. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, and dining out.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Derryl Davis, Brandon; sons, Randy Johnson, Mitchell; Rick Johnson, Beaumont, CA; Todd Frerk and his wife Emily, Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Nicole Johnson; Ashley and Corey Frerk; great-grandchild, Taylor Frerk; brother, Kenneth Anderson and his wife Lois, Vian, OK; sister, Delores Hagen, Cedar Falls, IA; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; relatives; and friends.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Clarice Ludolph; and brothers, Alton and Duane Anderson.
