Keith L. Egan

Keith L. Egan, 86, of Colton died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Terrace Manor in Dell Rapids. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Friday, March 7, 2008 at First Lutheran Church, Colton. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 pm Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Colton.

Keith was born August 2, 1921 to parents Luther and Klara (Brattebo) Egan at Colton. He grew up in the Colton area and graduated from Colton High School in 1939. After his education he served in the US Army during World War II.

Keith married Marjorie Rollag September 5, 1948 at Palisade Lutheran Church, in Rock County, Minnesota. After his marriage he farmed in the Colton area until retiring into Colton. He moved to Terrace Manor in January of 2006.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Dells Creamery Board, ASCS county committee, and the Sioux Valley Electric Board of Directors. He and Marge were honored as Tri-Valley Fan of the Year. Keith was active in 4-H and clerked at the Sioux Empire Fair for many years. Keith loved to tell jokes, dance, attend grandchildren's activities, tease, tickle and interact with kids of all ages.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Margie, Dell Rapids; children, Cindy (Rick) Oyen, Colton; Bob (Judi) Egan; Eagan, MN; Deb (Terry) Bunde, Lyons; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, Noel Egan, Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Jack and Neil.
