Sheldon Eugene LeVan, 46, of Rapid City, formerly of Baltic passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 31, 2007. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home Chapel in Dell Rapids, SD.
Sheldon was born December 19, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN. to parents Nelson and Agnes (Youtsos) LeVan. He grew up in the Baltic,SD area and received his education in the Baltic school system. Sheldon was an excellent chef, working at various food establishments throughout the country. A work related accident forced his early retirement a year and a half ago. Sheldon’s hobbies included photography, catering dinner parties, reading, and spending time with his beloved cats.
Sheldon is survived by his parents, Nelson and Lee LeVan, Dell Rapids, SD; Agnes Montague, Arizona; brothers, Kevin LeVan, Rapid City, SD; Tim LeVan, Lawton, IA; Brian and Leslie LeVan, Litchfield Park, AZ; Randy and Laura LeVan, Erie, PA; Rick and Cheyenne Mozingo, Ashland, OH; sisters, Elizabeth and Mark Rogers, Dell Rapids, SD; Cheryl and Jim Lakes, Williamsport, PA; Gail and Gary Barto, Hughesville, PA; Michelle and Joe Daughterty, Newcastle, PA; nieces, Lisa and Alexis LeVan; Alyssa and Hayley Rogers; nephews, Andrew and Riiker Nelson Rogers; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his grandparents.
