Justin Jay Van Der Vliet

Justin Van Der Vliet, 24 of Beresford formerly of Colton died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at First Lutheran Church, Colton. Burial will be in the Colton Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at the church, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm.


Justin was born May 15, 1982 in Dell Rapids to parents Dave and Bev (Swier) Van Der Vliet. He grew up in the Colton area and attended Tri Valley High School. After his education he worked on a ranch near Faith for two years, a combine harvesting crew, and Soukup Construction before owning his own truck and working for Cody Trucking in Renner along with various other jobs.
He enjoyed his truck, horses, rodeo, ranching and most of all he loved his family and friends.


Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Dave & Kelli Van Der Vliet, Colton; Bev & Wayne Tebbe, Colton; his sisters and brother, Heather Van Der Vliet and her special friend, John Cody, Renner; Brittany Tebbe, Colton; Harmony Larsen, Tea; and Nathan Larsen, Sioux Falls; his grandparents, Gerald & Ethel Van Der Vliet, Colton; Harold & Peggy Swier Hartford; his great grandmother, Florence Van Kekerix, Colton; his step grandparents, Merlin & Clarice Tebbe, Colton; Marlin & Judy Ormseth, Bonneau, South Carolina; numerous cousins; aunts; uncles; and other relatives and friends.
