Marlene Mary Wagner

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Monday, June 12, 2006 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, South Dakota.

Marlene Mary Wagner was born June 11, 1955 in Brookings, South Dakota to parents Raymond and Jeanette (Tobin) Wagner. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1972. She also attended Augustana College. Marlene married Duane Butrum on December 15, 1972 in Garretson. Marlene lived most of her life in the Brandon, Garretson and Brookings areas and a short time in Gillette, Wyoming and Elko, Nevada.
Marlene loved to quilt and was an excellent seamstress.
Marlene died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at her home.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Allen and his wife Velinda Butrum, Bellevue, Nebraska; her daughter, Lisa Grimes, Valley Springs; three grandsons, Jared Grimes, Braydon Butrum and Landon Butrum; her mother and step father, Jeanette and Leslie Hildebrand, Gillette, Wyoming; three brothers, and their wives, Bill and Sandy Wagner, Brandon; Kenny and Vicki Wagner, Gillette, Wyoming; Monte and Susie Wagner, LaConner, Washington; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Wagner, two grandmothers and two grandfathers.
