Ronald Lee Mcgee

September 12, 1944 — September 8, 2010

Ronald Lee McGee, 65, passed away at his home after suffering with bone cancer for two years.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 13, 2010 at East Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Baltic. Visitation with the family present will be from 3-5:00 PM Sunday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Burial with military honors will be at the West Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, rural Crooks.

Ron was born September 12, 1944 in Sioux Falls to J. C. and Eunice (Berven) McGee. He attended school in Baltic and Trent and graduated from Lyons High School in 1962. After graduation he moved to Washington State and worked at Boeing until he was called up to go to the service in 1965. He severed two tours of duty in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart and various other military medals. After serving in the military he moved to Maui, Hawaii and Dallas, Texas before returning to farm in 1980.

Ron was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls and confirmed at East Nidaros Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his parents, J. C. and Eunice McGee, Colton; a sister Deb Langrehr and her husband Tom, Hartford; a nephew Lars Langrehr, three nieces, Tiffany (Chris) Wynia and their children, Elizabeth, Codie, and MacKenzie; Jami (Lorin) Kruse and their children, Jenna and Jayden; and Joy Langrehr.
