Connie Dorice Finch

Connie D. Finch, 43, of Garretson died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Splitrock Lutheran Church, rural Brandon. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson.

Connie was born May 24, 1967 in Sioux Falls. She grew up in Brandon and graduated from Brandon High School. She then graduated from Black Hills University in Spearfish. She was employed in the corporate office of the Ramkota until her illness forced her retirement.

Grateful for having shared her life are her best friend and companion, Russell Palmlund, Garretson, her son, Austin, at home, her bonus kids, Jonathon, Erin, and Charles; her parents, Janice and Keith Goembel, Lennox; her grandmother, Zelma Dean, Sioux Falls; brothers, Kevin (Tami) Goembel, Worthing; Brad (Billi) Dean, Lakeview, NY; JR (Tami) Ruff, Sturgis; sisters, Dawn (Rich) Carlson; Brandon; Coleen Blackstone, Canton, Amy (Preston) Bonine, Beresford; Julie (Bryan) Dobesh, Sioux Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgil Dean and John and Myrtle Finch.
