Douglas Alan Mork, 58 of Baltic died, Saturday, July 1, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Baltic Lutheran Church, Baltic. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Wednesday with the family present from 7-8:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Douglas was born September 24, 1947 at Canby, Minnesota to parents Robert and Ruth (Fairchild) Mork. He grew up on a farm near Canby and graduated from Canby High School. He entered the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam Era Conflict. After his service he attended Dakota State College in Madison. Doug married Beverly Schriever May 26, 1972 in Sioux Falls. They moved to Baltic in 1974. Doug has worked for Rude Transportation, Sioux Falls in the office for the past 13 years. Doug was a member of Baltic Lutheran Church. Doug truly enjoyed biking and walking with his dog, Chip. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Bev, Baltic; two sons, Corey Mork and his wife, Amber, Worthing; Shawn Mork, Baltic; a daughter, Erika Mork, Baltic; four grandchildren; Skylar, Robbie, Monica, and Shyla; a brother, John Mork and his wife Sharon, Brandon; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandpa Gould and a brother Bruce.
