Otey Glaydon Rogers Iii

Otey Glaydon Rogers III, 32, of Dell Rapids passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 10, 2007 from injuries sustained in an accident. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Trent Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the family present from 6 to 8:00 PM Monday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.

Otey Glaydon Rogers III was born December 22, 1974 in Madison, Minnesota to parents Otey II and Diane (Gednalske) Rogers. He was raised and received his education in Dell Rapids. Otey was involved in the construction industry and was currently employed by Cleary Building Corporation.

Otey was an adventurer and a free spirit. He lived life to the fullest. He had a tender and big heart, always willing to help someone in need. Otey loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and golfing. He liked to play jokes and pull pranks on his family and friends and to drive.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Jordon and Jasmine Rogers, Astoria, SD; his mother, Diane Rogers, Dell Rapids; sisters, Tammy Blair, Trent; Lisa (Jeff) Nielsen, Trent; Merry Rogers, Sioux Falls; brother, Kenny Rogers, Dell Rapids; sister, Ann (Dan) Schmidt, Sugarland, TX; grandmother, Viola Gednalske, Trent; special friend, Ashley Ruffalo, Dell Rapids and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otey Rogers II in 1998 and grandparents.
