Marilyn Elaine Brende

Marilyn Brende, 71 of Sioux Falls formerly of Renner died Thurs. Aug. 2, 2007 at Sanford Health.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Tues. Aug. 7, 2007 at Renner Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the East Nidaros Cemetery, rural Baltic. Visitation with the family present will be from 6-8:00 PM Monday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic.

Marilyn Elaine Brende was born December 11, 1935 in Sioux Falls to parents Paul and Ethel (Wold) Brende. She attended the Berg Country School near Renner and graduated from Baltic High School in 1955.

Marilyn was baptized and confirmed at Renner Lutheran Church, where she was a life long member.
Marilyn worked at the First National Bank Building in Sioux Falls as an elevator operator for years, before baby sitting for many families in the area.
She kept scrap books from 1948 until just recently and many photos and albums. She was a wealth of information on family history.

Grateful for having shared her life are a sister, Jean (Jerry) Hammer, Baltic; a brother, Severin (Teresa) Brende, Alvarado, TX; a sister in law, Carol (Tom) Leisinger, Wentworth; her nephews, Doug (Jackie) Brende, Daryl Brende, Greg (Julie) Hammer, Paul (Darlene) Hammer, and Brad Hammer, nieces, Kristi Brende, and Cindi (Dan) Schmidt, great nephews, Kyle and Ben; great nieces, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Samantha, and Jayme.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, Paul and Ethel, her brother, Leon Brende; and nieces Terri and Sandy.
