Mary Margaret Heesch

Mary Heesch, age 76, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Sanford Health. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson with interment in Summit Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mary Margaret was born on December 11, 1930 at Aberdeen, South Dakota and spent time in Beresford. Following her education she married Royce Charles Snook and began her life as a homemaker. The couple lived in various places across the country until Royce passed away on August 28, 1963 in Sioux Falls.

On March 10, 1964, Mary married Donald I. Heesch. They moved across country until settling in Oregon for eight years. In 1995, they moved to Garretson and later to Sioux Falls.
Mary was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and while living in Oregon, the Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and joking around with others.

Survivors include her husband, Donald, Sioux Falls; children, Barbara (David) Paulus, Belle Fourche, SD and Donald Heesch, Jr., Sioux Falls; step-children: Dwain (Velma) Heesch, Teutle. OK; Dennis Heesch, Kenmare, ND; Kenneth Heesch, Garretson and Alberta (Ron) Frisbee, Appleton, WI; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and a brother, Rodney Anderson, Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Royce; her parents; and several siblings.
