Clarence Huizenga

Clarence “Al” Huizenga, 67, of Colton formerly of Corsica died Monday, June 18, 2007 at Avera Select Hospital. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Wednesday with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 21, 2007 in the Harrison Cemetery, Harrison, South Dakota.

Clarence “Al” was born April 1, 1940 in Corsica to parents Andrew and Grace Huizenga. He grew up on the family farm near Corisca and graduated from Dakota Christian High School. He then attended Dordt College, before working as a driver for Joe’s Redi Mix in Sioux Center, Iowa. He moved to Sioux Falls and continued to drive truck. He moved to Rapids City before moving to Colton in 2007. He was presently driving for Prairie Coach in Dell Rapids.

Grateful for having shared his life are his sister, Mary (Roger) Carlyle, Centennial, CO; his brothers, Robert (Rosie) Huizenga, Prinsburg, MN; David (Shirley) Huizenga, Lusk, WY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
