Scott A. Moser, 49, of Baltic died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Sioux Valley Hospice Cottage surrounded by his family. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Baltic Lutheran Church with interment in East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, rural Baltic. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. all at Baltic Lutheran Church.
Scott Adolph Moser was born on February 3, 1957 in Valley Springs, South Dakota to Adolph and Lydia (Knobloch) Moser. He grew up in the Larchwood and Lester, Iowa areas and graduated from West Lyon High School in 1975. Following his graduation he served in the United States Navy for four years.
On June 27, 1981, Scott married Dawn Anderson in Donnelly, Minnesota. He attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls and graduated in 1986. He worked for Sioux Vocational Services for 25 years and later for Bank First until May 2002. Scott and Dawn moved from Sioux Falls to Baltic, South Dakota in 1993.
Scott was an active member of Baltic Lutheran Church where he served as a deacon and trustee. He loved his garden, enjoyed cooking, bird watching, but most of all, being with his family and dogs.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Dawn of Baltic; a son, Jameson of Brookings; two daughters: Justine of Moorhead, Minnesota; and Jessa at home; three brothers: Dave and his wife, Barb, of Arnolds Park, Iowa; Dan and his wife, Pam of Sioux Falls; and Sam and his wife, Sharon of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and a sister, Sheila Moser of Sabetha, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
