Troy Leon Lonning

Troy L. Lonning, 41, of Colton died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Dougherty Hospice House due to a brain tumor.

Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Faith Community Church in Colton. Burial will be in the Colton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday at the church.

Troy was born February 18, 1969 in Sioux Falls to parents LeRoy and Brenda (Jaqua) Lonning. He attended various schools and graduated from Lincoln High School.
Troy worked at different farm jobs, Sunshine Foods and Sioux Valley Hospital (Sanford) for over six years.

In April 2006, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Troy had six surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments two different times. He first entered Avera Dougherty Hospice on December 1, 2009. He went home to be with his Savior on June 9, 2010.

Troy has been a faithful member to the Faith Community Church in Colton.

He leaves to mourn his death a son, Jason Troy; two daughters, Katie Lou and Laura Jean, all of Colton; his parents, LeRoy and Brenda Lonning, Sioux Falls; twin brother, Trent Lonning, Sioux Falls; and a sister Shelly Olson, Sioux Falls, his mother and father in law, Loretta and Larry Berens, Colton; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friend.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Kevin, infant niece, Ericka and his grandparents.
