Robin R. Nelson

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at First Lutheran Church, Colton, South Dakota. Burial will in the Graceland Cemetery, Madison, South Dakota. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Tuesday with the family present from 6-8:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton.

Robin was born October 9, 1964 at Brookings, South Dakota to parents William “Bill” and Lois (Nelson) Angle. She was raised and educated in Volga, South Dakota, graduating from Sioux Valley High School in 1982. Robin married Jeffrey S. Nelson December 23, 1983 in Brookings, South Dakota at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church. The couple moved to Okinawa, Japan in June of 1984 during Jeff’s enlistment in the US Navy. Dustyn was born July 16, 1986. The family left Okinawa in December of 1986 and relocated to Hadlock, Washington in January of 1987. Desiree was born April 29, 1988. They moved to Volga, South Dakota in January of 1991, where Robin was busy being a housewife and stay at home Mom. The family moved to Colton, South Dakota in May of 1992. Robin was employed by Odd Fellows Nursing Home and North American Wholesale Florist. Robin enjoyed gardening, working with flowers and plants, and fishing.
Robin passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Avera McKennan Hospice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 41.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Jeffrey Nelson, Colton, South Dakota; a son Dustyn Nelson, at home; a daughter, Desiree Nelson, at home; her parents, William “Bill” and Lois Angle, Volga, South Dakota; a brother, Bill Angle and his wife, Josee, Madison, South Dakota; eight nieces and a nephew; and many other relatives and friends.
