Duane Henry Iverson

Duane H. Iverson, 79, of Jasper died Monday, February 15, 2010 at Avera Dells Area Health Center in Dell Rapids.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 19, 2010 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Pipestone, Minnesota.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Thursday, with a Prayer service at 5:30 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids. Visitation will resume one hour before the service at the church.

Duane was born September 6, 1930 in Jasper to parents Henry and Emma (Holter) Iverson. He moved with his parents to a farm in Moody County, where he grew up. He attended country grade school and later the Egan school system.

Duane served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1950. After his discharge he returned to the family farm, where continued to farm until 1993. He loved his many farm tractors. He moved to Terrace Manor in 2002.

Survivors include his daughter, Twila (Bob) Zick, Sioux Falls; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Donald and Edsel; son, Curtis and daughter, Jule.
