Lorraine Alvina Nelson

Lorraine Alvina was born July 22, 1918 at Lyons, South Dakota to parents Ole and Anna (Anderson) Peterson. She was baptized at West Nidaros Lutheran Church and also confirmed there October 22, 1933.
Lorraine married Alfred Nelson June 26, 1954 in Baltic, South Dakota. The couple resided in Lyons, South Dakota after their marriage. Lorraine was a cook for nine years at Lyons School. They moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1960. She worked as a housekeeper. They were members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Alfred passed away November 27, 1981.
Lorraine passed away February 24, 2006 at Sioux Valley Hospital at the age of 87.
Grateful for having shared her life are her nephews and their wives: Eldon and Pauline Nelson of Sioux Falls, and Len and Jackie Berg of Mendota Heights, Minnesota; and her nieces and their husbands, Verlene and Del Dvoracek of Fargo, North Dakota, and Beverly and Ron Gath of Luverne, Minnesota.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Crooks with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
