Lois L. Warne

Lois L. Warne, 95, of Colton died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Sanford USD Health Center.
Family services were held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton. Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery, rural Colton.
Lois was born May 14, 1913 in Cushing, Iowa to parents Glenn amd Louise (Claussen) Daniels. She moved with her family to the Humboldt, South Dakota area. She graduated from Humboldt High School and then received her Bachelor of Science in Education from General Beadle in Madison. After her education she taught school in Colton for over 30 years.
Lois married John Charles Warne August 3, 1938 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. They then moved to the Colton area. Her husband died February 14, 1994.
Lois was a member of the United Methodist Church in Colton.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Kent Warne and his wife Linda, Worland, Wyoming; Marcia and her husband David Baumberger, Ankeny, Iowa; Creighton Warne and his wife Nancy, Colton; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Sally Warne, Newell, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother Welton Daniels and two sisters Kathleen Jones and Margaret Simonson.
