Brian J. Nilsen, 34, of Dell Rapids died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at his home.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2010 with the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Burial will be in the St Olaf Cemetery.
Brian was born September 1, 1975 in Sioux Falls to parents, David and Gayle Nilsen. He lived in Baltic with his parents until moving to Dell Rapids, where he graduated from Dell Rapids High School. After his education he worked for Kenworth in Sioux Falls and for the past ten years was employed at Central States Fire.
Brian married Stacy Johnson in 1999 in Dell Rapids.
Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Riley and Kyler Nilsen, both at home; his parents David and Peggy Nilsen, Sioux Falls; two sisters, Mindy Rima and her husband Darin, Sioux Falls;and Alyse Nilsen, Sioux Falls; a step brother, Jonathan Beeler, St. Paul, Minnesota and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle in 1991 and his grandparents.
