Mae J. Nesheim

Mae J. Nesheim, 82, of Dell Rapids died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Terrace Manor in Dell Rapids. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, rural Baltic.

Mae was born July 17, 1927 at Dell Rapids to parents Nils and Julia (Myhre) Brobjorg. She grew up in the Baltic area and attended the Sverdrup Country School and later attended Baltic High School. Mae married Lloyd Nesheim September 4, 1946 at Baltic. She lived in Baltic and Dell Rapids before moving to Sioux Falls. They later retired to Dell Rapids and spent seventeen winters in Texas. Lloyd died January 18, 1996.

Mae was a member of the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids. She truly enjoyed raising her three sons, fishing with her husband and playing cards with her family. She will be remembered for helping others when they needed help.

She is survived by two sons, Byron (Carolyn) Nesheim, Elmo Lake, MN; Ron Nesheim, Dell Rapids; a daughter in law, Barbara Nesheim, Cave Creek, AZ; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a sister Hazel Hegge, Baltic. She is preceded in death by a son, Robert, ten brothers and a sister.
