Eleanor M. Gibson
November 27, 1920 — March 17, 2009
Eleanor M. Gibson, 88, of Chamberlain formerly of Baltic died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Sanford Mid Dakota Care Center in Chamberlain.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Burial will be in the Beresford City Cemetery, Beresford. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
Eleanor was born November 27, 1920 at Beresford, South Dakota to parents Alfred and Hannah (Snyder) Rasmussen. She grew up in Turner County and attended school in Hurley and graduated from Parker High School.
She worked several years in a grocery store in Parker and later at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Eleanor was a member of Baltic Lutheran Church and the Baltic Senior Citizens.
She is survived by numerous step children; step grandchildren; a brother Harold Rasmussen, California; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, William Wilts, Kenneth Krager and Floyd Gibson.
