Memorial services will begin at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Renner Lutheran Church, Renner. Visitation will begin one hour before the service at the church.
Gertrude “Gertie” was born November 6, 1924 in Sedalia, Missouri to Flossie and Ernest Hopper. She lived in Sedalia until her marriage to Maurice Myrmoe on September 14, 1945 in Olathe, Kansas. After their marriage and Morrie’s service completion in the Army, they moved to Renner.

She was famous for her barbecue sandwiches at the ball games and hardly made it out of the stand for the birth of her second son, Duane. After this she was employed at John Morrells for 26 years until her retirement.
Gertie was involved in the Renner Lutheran Church and Joseph A. T. Moe American Legion in Baltic until she moved to Sioux Falls in 1987. She then worked part time in security at Joe Foss Airfield, until her health failed. She has been a resident at Good Samaritan Village in her own apartment until she required complete nursing care.
