Ella Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother supporting her family in all of their endeavors. Ella Mae was active in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with her sons, and was also instrumental in starting Brownies and Girl Scouts in the Garretson area. She raised all of her children to understand that whimsy was just as important as responsibility.  She was active in the United Church of Christ and United Church of Garretson as long as her health would allow, and held many offices in Circle and Women’s Fellowship. The last few years she invited the Women’s Fellowship to meet at her home during winter months, as she was not always able to attend at the church.

She was always up for a Coke with her “Breakfast Club” buddies at Stop and Shop.
