Ruth M. Ward, 90, of Renner passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Visitation will begin one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery, Baltic.
Ruth was born December 22, 1926 in Stockton, Missouri to parents Lewis and Mary (Pate) Hudson. She grew up in Missouri and attended school in Stockton.
She married Joseph Ward November 14, 1946, after which they moved to Denver, Colorado and then to Loveland in 1960. She lived near Loveland until she moved to the Renner area to live with her son.feeding wildlife at their place in Loveland.
She enjoyed making jewelry, gardening, canning and watching and feeding wildlife at their place in Loveland. She truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Jerry (Carol) Ward, Renner and David Ward, Monroe, Washington; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Larry and Roger and three brothers.
