Milo Lloyd Stroschein was born July 15, 1929 to parents Louis & Julia (Gravning) Stroschein, in Toronto, South Dakota. He died on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Graveside service will begin at 9:30 A.M. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Benton Lutheran Cemetery, rural Crooks followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 A.M at First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will be from 2-4:00 PM Sunday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic.

Milo graduated from Brookings High School in 1948. In 1950, he joined the Air Force and attended Sheppard Air Force @ Wichita Falls where he was an aircraft and engine mechanic. Then after 3 more months of training, he continued in the Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War, and was discharged in September, 1954. Milo married Elizabeth Ann Osvog on February 1, 1957. They farmed and he continued to work at Sioux Falls National Guard until 1970. Milo enjoyed taking on backhoe jobs and was always fixing on things around the farm. Elizabeth died of cancer on June 11, 1989. Milo attended grief classes in Sioux Falls where he met Natalie Amen. They enjoyed each other's company, and were married on June 24, 1990. Milo was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He is survived by his wife Natalie of Sioux Falls, his children, Lori (Mark) Dybvig, Colton, Nathan (Kim), Crooks Nanette (Danny) Koehn, Marion, Step-Daughter Barb (Mike) Flynn, Fargo, ND, 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great-grandchildren. 3 sisters, Lillian Gutknecht, Brookfield, WI, Lucille Collie, Fairfax Station, VA, and Gloria Perry, Presho, SD, and many nieces and nephews.

Milo is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, his parents, 3 brothers, Lyle, Harry, and Maynard, 2 sisters, Mildred Gutknecht and Arlette Warner.
