Florence Van Vooren, 101, of Dell Rapids passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Dell Rapids. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a Wake service at 7:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2016 at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.
Florence Klein was born June 9, 1915 to Will and Gabrielle (Fisher) Klein in Dell Rapids, SD. She married Clyde Van Vooren on February 14, 1939. They moved to a farm near Garretson and farmed there until Clyde’s death July 26, 1976. Florence moved to Dell Rapids in 1977. In 2003 she moved to Orchard Hills Congregate Living then to Assisted Living in 2016. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Survivors include her son, Darryl Van Vooren, Sioux Falls and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; brothers, Joe Klein and Walter Klein and daughter-in-law, Ardis Van Vooren.
