Orllo W. Sando, 82, of Colton passed away Monday, September 12, 2016.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Colton. Burial will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery, rural Colton.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the church.
Orllo Wesley Sando was born October 6, 1933 to parents Wilhelm and Amanda (Ordal) Sando. He grew up on a farm north of Colton. He graduated from Colton High School in 1951. Orllo married Jean Williams on April 12, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Colton. He served in the United States Army and the Army Reserve. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Colton.
Orllo enjoyed farming his whole life, especially with his wife, Jean. He loved getting hugs from his grandchildren. He enjoyed working with wood and making jewelry from polished rocks.
Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Susan (Leo) Ross, Colton; son, Robert (Cristy) Sando, Colton; grandchildren, William Ross, Daniel Ross, Seth Sando and Holly Sando; brother, Alverdo Sando, Denison, IA and many other relatives and friends.
Orllo was preceded in death by his wife, Jean in 2010; parents; brothers, Merton and Delmar and sister, Urma Headrick.
